Abbey Wheeler (Elmira, N.Y.) will lead the Friars on Saturday after a second-place finish at the CCSU Mini Meet. Wheeler placed second overall and posted the fastest time by a non-redshirt collegian at the meet in the past six years. She finished 19 seconds ahead of the third-place finisher. Last year, Wheeler finished 10
that the BIG EAST Championships, earning All-BIG EAST honors. After claiming two NCAA and BIG EAST Runner Of The Week Awards, Wheeler looks to be running in the top pack this Saturday.

Joining Wheeler will be graduate student
Regan Rome (Dalla, Pa.) and sophomore
Maria Coffin (Annapolis, Md.). Rome and Coffin were Providence's second and third runners at the CCSU Mini Meet. Rome placed third overall (10:07.5), while Coffin was not far behind to finish fourth (10:08.5). Last year at the BIG EAST Championship, Coffin placed 37
th. Rome and Coffin look to have strong performances this Saturday and score points for Friars over the 6k course.Â

After a breakthrough performance at the CCSU Mini Meet (sixth), junior
Alex DeCicco (Sachem, N.Y.) will step back on the line for the Friars, as will graduate student
Tessa Barrett (Waverly, Pa.). Last year, DeCicco placed 48

Hannah McReavy (Colorado Springs, Colo.),
Dara Cuffe (Cornwall, N.Y.),
Emily Wall (Nauset, Mass.) and

The women will be up against No. 8 Villanova, as well as the eight other BIG EAST teams set to compete on Saturday.Â

On the men's side, sophomore Ryan Gallagher (Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.) will lead the Friars around the 8km course after his solid performance at the CCSU Mini Meet. Gallagher finished as the first Providence runner at the meet, finishing second overall. Gallagher finished four seconds ahead of the third-place finisher.

Joining Gallagher will be sophomore Angus White (New Plymouth, New Zealand) and senior Marcus Karamanolis (Wellington, New Zealand). At the CCSU Mini Meet, White was the next Friar across the line in third place (14:57.6), while Karamanolis finished immediately behind to take fourth (14:58.5). Last year at the BIG EAST Championships, White and Karamanolis placed 25
thand 11
th, respectively.Â

Sophomore David Rosas (Chestnut Ridge, N.Y.) and senior Austin Scola (Medfield, Mass.) also will return for Providence. Last time out, these men finished within ten seconds of each other at the CCSU Mini Meet. Rosas placed eighth (15:06.4), while Scola was not far behind placing 12
th(15:16.9). At the BIG EAST Championship last year, Scola placed 27
thfor the Friars.

In addition, sophomore Marcelo Rocha (Peabody, Mass.) and junior Peter Rindfuss (Hamburg, N.Y.) will be competing for the sixth and seventh spots on the team this weekend.

To round out the Friars' top ten, graduate student Michael Wyman (Marion, Mass.), who won the UNH Dual Meet, sophomore Jack Carleo (Newburyport, Mass.) and freshman Sean Meehan (East Greenwich, R.I.) will also toe the line for Providence on Saturday. Â
