Field Hockey Falls To 18th-Ranked Liberty, 4-0

The Friars will enter the BIG EAST Tournament as the No. 3 seed next weekend.

PROVIDENCE, R.I.– The Providence College field hockey team fell to 18th-ranked Liberty, 4-0, on Oct. 26 at Lennon Family Field in Providence, R.I.  The Friars conclude the regular-season schedule with an 11-7 overall record and 4-3 mark in the BIG EAST, while Liberty improved to 12-5 (6-1 BIG EAST).

GAME HIGHLIGHTS & NOTES
- Liberty took a 2-0 lead into halftime with goals from Alivia Klopp and Agueda Moroni at 23:54 and 32:28, respectively.
- The Flames held a 13-3 advantage in shots and 3-0 edge in penalty corners during the opening 35 minutes of play.
- Liberty added two second-half goals to take the 4-0 result.  Charlotte Vaanhold and Moroni were credited with the goals at 43:58 and 50:25.
- Moroni, who leads the nation in points per game, goals and goals per game, finished night with two goals and one assist.
- For the game, the Flames held a 23-4 advantage in shots and led in penalty corners, 7-1.
