PROVIDENCE, R.I.– Providence College field hockey player
Mary O'Reilly (Longmeadow, Mass.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, Oct. 22.  It marks the first time this season, and third time in her career that she has earned a weekly conference honor.

Last week, O'Reilly propelled the Friars to a 2-1 victory over BIG EAST foe Georgetown in a shootout on Oct. 19.  She scored Providence's lone goal in regulation at 33:55 of the first half. After two scoreless overtimes, O'Reilly came up big for the Friars, once again, tallying the deciding goal in the shootout.

O'Reilly has recorded a single-season career best of 10 points in 2018 on four goals and two assists. For her career, she has totaled 22 points on seven goals and eight assists.

The victory over Georgetown helped Providence solidify a spot in the upcoming BIG EAST Conference Tournament, scheduled for Nov. 2-4 in Lynchburg, Va. The Friars will conclude their regular-season schedule on Friday, Oct. 26 against Liberty.  The match is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at Lennon Family Field in Providence, R.I.
