The Friars battled UConn for 60 minutes, but the game had to be called with 30:06 remaining on the clock.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College men's soccer team's game against the University of Connecticut on Tuesday, Oct. 2 was called in the 60th minute of play due to lightning. The Friars led 1-0 thanks to a goal by Andualem Chisholm (Attleboro, Mass.). Because the game did not reach the 70th minute, it will not count per NCAA rules. Further details will be announced at a later time.
The Friars return to BIG EAST play with a game at home against Marquette on Oct. 6. Kick-off is set for 4:30 p.m.
