SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Providence College women's volleyball team lost to the Seton Hall Pirates in South Orange, N.J. on Oct. 29. The Friars lost in straight sets to Seton Hall with scores of 14-25, 23-25 and 12-25. Providence falls to 13-15 (1-11) while Seton Hall improves to 12-14 (6-7).
Kayla Fitzgerald (Redlands, Calif.) led the Friars' attack, tallying five kills in the loss. Chicyia Clark (Huntington Beach, Calif.) set the attack with 18 assists. Michelle Cruz (Midland Park, N.J.) led the defensive efforts with eight digs.
Abby Thelen led Seton Hall with 16 kills. Sophia Coffey recorded a double-double, recording 36 assists and 15 digs. Tessa Fournier also tallied 21 digs.
The Friars return home for matches against Xavier and Butler on Nov. 4 and 6, respectively.
