Jake Walman continues his strong sophomore campaign as he leads the nation's defensemen in goals (12), points (23), points per game (1.28), power play goals (7), and game-winning goals (4). Walman's season thus far has been highlighted by a six-point performance over two-games at Colgate back in October, where he notched four goals and netted the first hat trick by a Providence defenseman since 1991.
Nick Ellis has been stellar in between the pipes this year for the Friars as he has posted a 14-3-4 record thus far and ranks third in the Hockey East with a 2.11 goals-against average and .928 save percentage. The junior has allowed two or fewer goals in 13 games this season and has posted two shutouts. In December, he boasted a 0.99 goals-against average and .963 save percentage, netting himself Hockey East Goaltender of the Month recognition.
