Trevor Mingoia Dubbed Hockey East Player of the Week

WAKEFIELD, Mass. - It was announced on Monday (Jan. 18) that Providence College forward Trevor Mingoia earned Warrior Hockey East Player of the Week honors for the second time this season.

In the Friars' two-game sweep at Vermont last weekend, the Fairport, N.Y. native totaled three goals and two assists, including game-winning goals in both games versus the Catamounts. Mingoia also tallied Providence's first shorthanded goal of the season on Friday night and followed up that performance with a four-point outburst on Saturday in the Friars' 6-3 win.

Providence now boasts five Hockey East Player of the Week honorees this season.

Mingoia and the rest of the Friars will return to action this weekend for a home-and-home set against UMass Lowell.
