Volleyball To Host Seton Hall

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College women's volleyball team will host BIG EAST foe Seton Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Oct. 7 at Alumni Hall on the campus of Providence College. The match will be streamed live via Friars All-Access, which is a subscription service provided on the College' athletic website at www.Friars.com.

SCOUTING PROVIDENCE: The Providence College women's volleyball team enters the match with a 9-9 (0-4 BIG EAST) record on the season. Most recently, Providence hosted Georgetown and Creighton on Oct. 2 and Oct. 3, respectively. The Friars fell to Georgetown, 3-1, and Creighton, 3-0. Marina Rose (Coventry, Conn.) posted her third double-double of the season against Georgetown, with 13 kills and 17 digs. Up front, the Friars are led by Kayla Fitzgerald (Redlands, Calif.). Fitzgerald has collected 217 kills and 155 digs on the season. Defensively, Michelle Cruz (Midland Park, N.J.) holds a team-best 243 digs. The Friars have an impressive freshman impact with Allison Impellizeri (Seaford, N.Y) and Emily Horner (Mission Viejo, Calif). Impellizeri and Horner have posted 140 and 139 kills, respectively. Senior Jordan Wiesler (Coconut Creek, Fla.) leads the team in assists with 557.

SCOUTING SETON HALL: The Seton Hall Pirates travel to Providence with an 8-8 (2-2 BIG EAST) record. The Pirates split their past two games, defeating DePaul, 3-0, and fell to Marquette, 3-0, on Oct. 2 and Oct. 3, respectively. Tessa Fournier leads the Pirates defensively with 289 digs. Danielle Schroeder, who has tallied 161 kills on the season, heads Seton Hall's attack. Sophia Coffey holds the team best in assists with 541.
