Providence College Hosts Chi Alpha Sigma Induction Ceremony

The Providence College Athletics Department and the Office of Academic Services teamed up to host the 2014 Chi Alpha Sigma induction ceremony on March 24 at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse in Providence, R.I. Chi Alpha Sigma is a nonprofit organization established to recognize college student-athletes who earn a varsity letter in at least one sport, while maintaining a 3.4 grade-point average, or higher, throughout their junior and senior years.
Twenty-three Providence College student-athletes were inducted on Monday night and include: Caitlin Abelseth (Track), Taylor Ahlborn (Tennis), Lia Bellizzi (Soccer), Maria Bernardez (Tennis), Robert Caffrey (Lacrosse), Deidra Clymer (Field Hockey), John Fatigati (Swimming & Diving), Haley Frade (Ice Hockey), Kimberly Hall (Swimming & Diving), Liam Hillery (Cross Country & Track), Emily Kennedy (Swimming & Diving), John Nash (Swimming & Diving), Lauren Paiva (Softball), Margaret Pendleton (Ice Hockey), Luke Perron (Cross Country & Track), Katherine Ripple (Tennis), Annie Russian (Volleyball/Basketball), Robert Sheehan (Lacrosse), Julie Solimine (Cross Country & Track), Melina Toman (Soccer), Tara Walter (Swimming & Diving), Allison Walton (Soccer), Mackenzie Ziegler (Volleyball).
