GREELEY, Colo. - The Providence College volleyball team (6-26) lost a pair of matches on Thursday evening in pool-play of the National Independent Volleyball Championships in Greeley, Colo. The Friars lost, 3-0, to South Dakota State (14-15) and later lost, 3-0, to North Dakota State (3-30). The Friars will take on Utah Valley State (14-11) in their final pool-play match on Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. EST, before heading into seeded action on Saturday, Nov. 12.

In the SDSU contest, senior Annie Fiorvanti (Northport, N.Y.) led the team with 12 assists, while senior Allison Baker (Glastonbury, Conn.) added six kills. Freshman Amanda Little (Ballston Lake, N.Y.) had a team-best nine digs.

In the NDSU matchup, sophomore Sarah Fleming (Saint Paul, Minn.) posted a team-best seven kills, while Fiorvanti had 22 assists and Little added eight digs.
