PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Seton Hall junior Tara Brooks notched match-high numbers with 14 kills and a .458 hitting percentage to lead the visiting Pirates past Providence College, 3-0 (30-19, 30-20, 30-21), in BIG EAST volleyball action on Saturday, October 26, 2002 at Mullaney Gymnasium in Providence, R.I.
With the loss, the Friars drop to 2-22 on the season and 0-6 in BIG EAST play. Seton Hall improves to 10-15 overall and 1-5 in conference matches.
Providence sophomore Ayana Cadres (Los Angeles, Calif.) led the team's offense with 13 kills on 30 total attempts for a .267 hitting percentage. Freshman Katie Fleming (Cary, N.C.) led the Friar defense with 8 digs.
The Friars return to action on Sunday, October 27 at 2:00 p.m. in a home match at Mullaney Gym against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
