PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Senior Jamel Thomas and freshman Sean Connolly combined for 48 points and Thomas turned in his third double-double of the season as the Providence College Friars jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in an 81-60 win over crosstown rivals, Brown.
Thomas equalled a season high with 30 points and added ten rebounds while Connolly had a career high 18 points on seven-for-11 shooting from the floor. It is the Friars longest winning streak since January of 1997 when that team won six straight twice on the way to the Elite Eight.
