Allison Proulx began working at Providence College in October 2024. Her role includes assisting the head swim coach and handling the recruitment process for high school juniors and seniors.
Prior to PC, Proulx worked in the Westwood Public Schools as a special educator and women’s swim coach for eight years. She also was a YMCA Foothills swim instructor for one year.
She graduated from Providence College in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in elementary/special education. She got her master's degree in 2009 in special education/administration.
Proulx graduated Magna Cum Laude, was on the BIG EAST All Academic Team. She served as the Friar team captain (2001-2002), and was a recipient of the David Hardy Coaches Award (2000 and 2002).
Proulx is originally from Chelmsford, Mass. She currently resides in Smithfield, R.I. with her husband, Matthew, and their wo sons, Grayson and Cameron.
