As a Senior: Played 12 games and made one appearance in the starting line-up... Recorded five points on two goals and one assist... Scored a single-game career high of two goals in a 3-0 victory against Brown (Sept. 8) and earned BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll recognition for the first time in her career (Sept. 9)... Tallied her lone assist of the year on the game-winning goal against Rider (Oct. 27) on senior day to give the Friars a 1-0 victory... Earned NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad and BIG EAST All-Academic Team honors for the fourth-consecutive year.
As a Junior: Started all 19 games... Finished tied for fourth among her teammates with a career-high 10 points on four goals and two assists... Tallied the first assist of her career against BIG EAST foe Temple (Sept. 21)... Named to NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad and BIG EAST All-Academic Team... Chi Alpha Sigma inductee.
As a Sophomore: Played in six games for the Friars and registered two shot attempts... Earned the program's "Golden Rule" Award... NFHCA Division I All-Academic Squad and BIG EAST All-Academic Team selection.
As a Freshman: Appeared in 11 games and cracked the starting line-up during the final two games of the season... Her first collegiate start came against Old Dominion in the regular-season finale, in which Providence secured a berth in the BIG EAST Tournament with a 1-0 overtime victory on Oct. 28... Scored two points on one goal during the season... Her lone goal proved to be the game-winner in a 3-2 victory over Fairfield on Oct. 2... Earned the program's "Mountain Climber Award"... Named to NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad and BIG EAST All-Academic Team.
In High School: Attended Hazleton Area High School, where she played field hockey and lacrosse... Totaled 202 career points on 86 goals and 30 assists, and holds school records in each of those offensive categories at Hazleton Area... Recognized as a First-Team All-State selection.
Personal: Born June 14, 1998... Daughter of Scott Sanford and Mary Ann Thomas... Has two sisters, Alexis Sanford and Josie Thomas, and one brother, Dane Sanford... Biology major.
