Will there be a Friars Basketball Season this year? Yes! Following from the latest statement from the NCAA, the 2020-21 basketball season can begin Nov. 25th.  The schedule through December 2020 can be found here.

Where will home games be played for the Friars Men’s Basketball Season in 2020-2021? We are currently working towards a plan to have our home games at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center for games starting in January. Home games for November and December will be played in Alumni Hall

Can fans attend games?  At this time, based on state of Rhode Island regulations, fans will not be allowed to attend our men's basketball games.  We are working with the state to determine under which circumstances we can host fans. 

Will Providence have limited capacity at the Dunkin’s Donuts Center this season? Based on conversations with state and local officials, as well as our partners at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center, we are working to have reduced capacity at home games during the 2020-21 season.  Once when we get firm numbers from the state and building on capacities, we will let fans know how we intend to proceed.

 

If I choose refund or donation option, will I have the first right to my current season seats locations next season? Yes. Fans will still have the first right to renewal for their current season ticket locations for the 2021-22 season regardless of which option they select.

How will ticketing for single games work this season if fans are allowed? We will make tickets available on an individual basis for home games this season, with season ticket holders having first priority for tickets. Once we have more details from state and local officials about safe capacities, we will email fans in full with their options for games taking place in the 2020-21 season.

Will my current seat location change in the event of a limited capacity crowd during the season? Most likely yes.  Due to the high number of season ticket holders we have, depending on our allowed capacities, and limitations that come with socially distant seating, we cannot guarantee any specific seat locations to fans.  Once we get the go ahead from the state, we will work with our partners at the Dunkin Donuts Center to determine our available seating manifest for the season, and work to publicize how seating and games will work for the upcoming season.

Is my donation to the Champions Club eligible for refund? Donations to the college are not eligible for refunds. Access to Leary Room and the Champions Club Room are perks of being a donor to the college, and not a service that is being purchased. 

Am I able to update my current payment plan? Yes.  Please contact your dedicated account executive to update payment options for the 2020-21 season.

How can I watch the games? All streaming and broadcast options will be announced once the season schedule is released. For up to date information on streaming and broadcast options, please check Friars.com or the Providence Friars Gameday App.

How can I support the Friars without being in the stands? You can purchase a Friars fan cutout of yourself to display at every Friars home game! Fan cutouts start at $50 and can be purchased by clicking here. Donating is also a great way to support our student athletes and programs.

Will there be any virtual fan events or game watches? While nothing is currently scheduled, we do hope to host some virtual game watches or interactive events for fans this season. As soon as we have events planned, fans will be emailed information on how to participate!
