Providence College Student-Athletes To Hold Food Drive

Food Drive To Benefit The Smith Hill Center in Providence, R.I.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College Student-Athlete Advisory Board (SAAB) will be holding an emergency food drive on Monday, October 6 from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. The food drive will benefit the Smith Hill Center in Providence, R.I. The center's food supply has been depleted and the Friars are making preparations to help replenish its food supply.

Student-athletes at Providence College will be setting up a food collection area on the second floor of Alumni Hall on Monday, October 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Collection boxes will be located outside the Providence College athletic ticket office. Anyone who is interested in helping, may drop off their non-perishable food items at that location during the time provided. All donated goods will go directly to the Smith Hill Center during its time of crisis. The Student-Athlete Advisory Board is asking for help from the campus community as a whole. Your donations will be greatly appreciated.
