Women’s Golf Heads To MSU SoCal Spring Invitational

The three-day tournament will be held at Sterling Hills Golf Club in Camarillo, Calif.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College women's golf team returns to action Sunday, March 8 through Tuesday, March 10 at the MSU SoCal Spring Invitational, held at Sterling Hills Golf Club in Camarillo, Calif.

Play begins Sunday morning with round one scheduled to start at 10:09 a.m. PT/1:09 p.m. ET. Round two will be held Monday beginning at 10:00 a.m. PT/1:00 p.m. ET, with the third and final round Tuesday at 7:33 a.m. PT/10:33 a.m. ET.
The Friars will play Sterling Hills Golf Club, a par-71 course measuring 5,905 yards.
Providence last competed on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at the El Campeon Collegiate at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. The Friars placed 10th overall with a team score of 1,066 (+202). Sophomore Gwendolyn Yarnall (East Aurora, N.Y.) led the Friars, finishing tied for 12th with a three-round total of 243 (+27). The result marked her third top-20 finish of the season.
The Friars opened the spring schedule on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park, Ariz. for the BGSU Women's Intercollegiate. The Friars placed 15th with a score of 981 (+129). Freshman Myla Bisceglia (Rye, N.Y.) led the Friars, finishing tied for 68th with a score of 240 (+26). In the final round, Bisceglia recorded three birdies and her first ever eagle on a par-four. The 77 in her final round was the lowest round of her career.
Providence opened the 2025-26 season by competing in the first women's golf tournament in Providence College history at the two-day Boston College Red Bandanna Invitational at Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, Mass. Sophomore Gwendolyn Yarnall (East Aurora, N.Y.) recorded the first top-10 finish in program history with a tie for eighth at the Lady Dolphin Invitational on Oct. 20-21 at Bellevue Country Club in Syracuse, N.Y. Yarnall finished the tournament with a score of 161 (+19). Providence's top team finish of the fall season also came at the Lady Dolphin Invitational with an eighth place showing.

The Friars will follow up the MSU SoCal Spring Invitational at the St. John's Women's Invitational at The St. Andrews Golf Club in Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y. on Monday, April 6.
