Women’s Golf Wraps Up Warrior Invitational

HAVERHILL, Mass. – The Providence College women's golf team completed the Warrior Invitational at Haverhill Country Club in Haverhill, Mass., on Tuesday, Sept. 15. The Friars placed fifth overall with a team score of 947 (+83). Freshman Maddie Hyndman (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) led the way for the Friars in her first collegiate tournament, finishing tied for 13th while shooting 232 (+16) over 54 holes.

Boston University won the team title with a score of 902 (+38), while Merrimack's June Doerr won the individual title with a score of 219 (+3) over three rounds. Providence recorded a 317 in the opening round, a 315 in the second round and closed with a 315 in the final round.
Following Hyndman, Providence had three more freshmen make their collegiate debuts at the Warrior Invitational, including Bailey Baio (Bradenton, Fla.), Annabel Widdifield (McLean, Va.) and Claire McTaggart (Barrington, R.I.). Baio finished 22nd, Widdifield placed 29th and McTaggart tied for 37th.
Sophomore Myla Bisceglia (Rye, N.Y.) led the Friars with six birdies across 54 holes.
