PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College men's golf team returns to action on Monday, Oct. 12 through Tuesday, Oct. 13 at The Scrappy at Pinetree at Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw

The three round tournament will play out over Monday and Tuesday. Rounds one and two will take place Monday starting at 9:00 a.m. with the third and final round on Tuesday beginning at 8:00 a.m. The field includes 12 others schools including Belmont, Tennessee at Martin, Georgia State, Missouri State, Alabama, Jacksonville, Alabama A&M, Augusta, Florida A&M, Samford, IU Indianapolis and Kennesaw State.
The Friars last competed at the UConn Invitational at GreatHorse on Sunday, Sept. 27 through Tuesday, Sept. 29. The Friars finished fourth overall with a team score of 593 (+17). The fourth-place finish is the best for the Friars since men's golf was reintroduced last season. Sophomore
Callan Fahey (Wheaton, Ill.) led Providence with his career-best individual finish, tying for second. Fahey recorded rounds of 69 and 73 for a 142 (-2). The tournament, which was scheduled for 54 holes, was shortened to 36 holes due to weather. Also finishing inside the top 10 for the Friars was freshman
Zac Georgantas (Foxborough, Mass.), who shot identical rounds of 73 (+2) for his best finish of the season. Freshman
Maurice Hoben III (Jupiter, Fla.) also recorded his best finish of the season, tying for 12th with two rounds of 74 (+4).
Providence completed the Ryan T. Lee Memorial on Sunday, Sept. 20 at Ledgemont Country Club in Seekonk, Mass. The Friars finished 12th with a team score of 882 (+30). Freshman
Zac Georgantas (Foxborough, Mass.) led Providence, tying for 31st at 219 (+6).
In the fall opener, the Friars played at the Doc Gimmler Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 12 at Bethpage State Park Red Course in Bethpage, N.Y. Sunday's third and final round was canceled due to weather. The Friars placed 12th overall with a team score of 578 (+18). Fahey led Providence, tying for 21st at 142 (+2) while totaling six birdies across 36 holes. Senior
Evan Buddenhagen (Gloucester, Mass.), who played as an individual, also tied for 21st, matching his career-best result.
