SCOUTING SNHU... Southern New Hampshire completed the 2025-26 season with a 14-13 overall record, including a 8-10 record in the Northeast 10. The Penmen were picked to finish sixth in the 2026-27 NE10 Preseason Women's Basketball poll, with 42 points. Head Coach Karen Pinkos enters her 22nd years with the program and returned nine players from last year's team, including three of the top four scorers. Ava Winterburn averaged 11.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. Samantha Pfeil notched 7.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists per contest. Taylor Brennan tallied 7.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and a team-best 3.7 assists per game.

RETURNING TO FRIARTOWN... Head Coach Karen Pinkos is no stranger to Providence College women's basketball. She served as an assistant coach for the Friars and helped guide the team to a share of the BIG EAST 7 title in 1996.

BIG EAST PRESEASON POLL... The Friars were picked to finish seventh in the BIG EAST Preseason Coaches' Poll, released at the league's annual media day on Oct. 1 in New York City. Providence finished seventh in the standings during each of the last two seasons.

ORLAGH GORMLEY NAMED PRESEASON ALL-BIG EAST HONORABLE MENTION... Junior guard Orlagh Gormley was named Preseason All-BIG EAST Honorable Mention on Oct. 1 at the league's annual media day in New York City. Gormley was one of 15 players in the conference to earn preseason recognition. Last season, Gormley played 32 games with 31 appearances in the starting line-up. BUILDING BLOCKS... Under the direction of Head Coach Erin Batth, the Friars have recorded 6+ wins in BIG EAST play during each of her three seasons. Prior to her arrival in 2023-24, Providence claimed six-or-more wins in league play just five times since 2001-02.
