-The Friars opened the scoring just 35 seconds into the game on a turnaround shot in front by senior
Sarah Davies (Mississauga, Ontario). Senior
Cristina Cavaliere (Mississauga, Ontario) and junior
Audrey Knapp (Stevens Point, Wis.) recorded the assists.
-The goal was Davies' fifth of the season, while Cavaliere's 10th assist of the year joined Knapp as the only Friars with double-digit assists. Davies has scored in back-to-back games for the first time this season.
-Boston College tied the game two minutes later on a goal by Sammy Taber. Ava Thomas earned the lone assist.
-Shots on goal after the first period were 19-10 in favor of the Friars.
-The Eagles took the lead at 2:04 of the second period on a goal from Tricia Piku, assisted by Madelyn Murphy and Cailin Flynn.
-Boston College extended its lead to 3-1 at 3:53 of the period on a goal from Maxim Tremblay. Murphy recorded her second assist of the game.
-Providence answered 1:02 later when sophomore
Jessie Pellerin (Bowmanville, Ontario) cut the deficit to 3-2 on a goal from in front. Juniors
Peyton Blaney (Millgrove, Ontario) and
Kiara Kraft (Churchville, N.Y.) recorded the assists. The goal was Pellerin's eighth of the season and her second consecutive game with a goal.
-Less than two minutes later, the Eagles pushed the lead back to two at 4-2 on a goal from Emma Conner. Taber and Jade Arnone earned the assists.
-Boston College made it 5-2 midway through the second period on a power-play goal from Lauren Glaser, assisted by Thomas and Tremblay.
-Freshman goaltender
Mallory Hartl (Askov, Minn.) entered the game for the Friars following the fifth goal for her second appearance of the season.
-At 13:15 of the second period, Thomas scored to make it 6-2. Taber and Alaina Dunn recorded the assists.
-Thomas added her second goal of the game just over two minutes later to make it 7-2. Taber and Murphy recorded their third assists.
-Shots on goal were 30-29 in favor of the Eagles after 40 minutes. Providence was unsuccessful on its lone power-play opportunity of the period.
-The Eagles would make it 8-2 on a goal after a power play expired from Murphy 42 seconds into the third period. Conner and Thomas picked up assists.
-Graduate student goaltender
Hope Walinski (Lincoln, R.I.) made 15 saves for the Friars. Hartl recorded 17 saves.
-Providence is now 60-50-4 all-time against Boston College. The Friars have lost both games this season to the Eagles.
