Imafidon spent the previous two years at Louisville and played her first season of collegiate basketball in 2024-25.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College women's basketball Head Coach Erin Batth announced today [May 16] that transfer student-athlete Eseosa Imafidon has signed an athletic aid agreement to attend Providence and join the team for the 2025-26 season. Imafidon will redshirt the 2025-26 season and use her final season of eligibility with the Friars in 2026-27.

Imafidon, a 6-5 center, spent the previous two years at Louisville (2023-25). After taking a redshirt season in 2023-24, she made her collegiate debut in 2024-25 and played eight games for the Cardinals.

"At 6-5 she is a daunting presence in the paint," Coach Batth said. "She's long, athletic and will be able to protect the rim with her shot blocking ability. She fits well within our system, is driven and will be a great teammate who will bring a contagious energy to the group."

Imafidon started playing basketball in 2019 and came to the United States to play high school and prep basketball via the Access2Success Program. Prior to attending Louisville, she attended Proctor Academy. She helped guide Proctor to a 14-7 record in the NEPSAC Class AA League, which is one of the top prep leagues in New England.

Prior to her time at Proctor Academy, she attended Matthews Covenant Day in Matthews, N.C. During the 2021-22 season, she averaged 14.1 points, 11.3 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game. She earned Second-Team NCSAA Girls' Varsity Basketball All-America honors.

Imafidon also spent time competing with Team Curry in Charlotte, N.C.
