Men’s Track Competes At BU’s Valentine Invitational

Brett Lehman sets a PC indoor 400 meter record.
BOSTON, Mass. – The Providence College men's track and field team competed at the Boston University Valentine Invitational at Boston University on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025.
Freshman Cormac Dixon (Dublin, Ireland), senior Brett Lehman (Lower Gwynedd, Pa.), and graduate student Pat Thygesen (Brisbane, Australia) all had strong performances for the Friars. Dixon ran the mile in a time of 4:01.87. Lehman placed 10th in the 400 in a time of 48.27, breaking the school indoor record for the event. Thygesen finished the 3,000 meters in 7:59.51.
Sophomore Jon Mignacca (Seekonk, Mass.) also had a successful performance, as he placed third in the high jump with a height of 1.88 meters.
The Friar men's team will return to action on Feb. 21 at the Boston University DMR Invite.
