Women’s Hockey Falls On The Road To New Hampshire, 4-2

Audrey Knapp and Jessie Pellerin each record two points for the Friars.

DURHAM, N.H. – The Providence College women's hockey team fell to the University of New Hampshire, 4-2, on Friday, Nov. 7, at Whittemore Center Arena in Durham, N.H. The Friars fall to 3-7-1 overall and 1-3-1 in Hockey East play while the Wildcats improved to 6-4-1 and 3-1-0. Junior Audrey Knapp (Stevens Point, Wis.) and sophomore Jessie Pellerin (Bowmanville, Ontario) each recorded two points in the defeat.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
 
-The Wildcats opened the scoring at 2:26 of the first period on a goal by Kelly Harty, assisted by Josie Linn.
 
-Shots on goal after the first period were 12-3 in favor of the Friars. Providence successfully killed one penalty in the opening frame.
 
-With the Friars on a five-on-three penalty kill, the Wildcats doubled their lead to 2-0 on Kelly Harty's second goal of the night at 9:30 of the second period. Aurora Kahlert and Nina Rossi recorded the assists.
 
-After the Friars were awarded their third power play of the night, freshman Bella Paolucci (Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich.) scored to cut the lead to 2-1 at 15:38 of the second period. Sophomore Jessie Pellerin (Bowmanville, Ontario) and junior Audrey Knapp (Stevens Point, Wis.) earned the helpers. Knapp extended her point streak to three games.
 
-The Wildcats regained a two-goal lead with 50 seconds left in the second period on a power-play goal from Kristen Hartman. Kahlert and Rossi each tallied their second assist of the night.
 
-New Hampshire extended its lead to 4-1 with a short-handed goal from Danika Botterill at 6:03 of the third period. Rossi earned her third assist of the night on the play.
 
-It marked the first short-handed goal the Friars have allowed this season. The last came on Feb. 8, 2025, at Boston University.
 
-After the Wildcats appeared to score on the power play to make it 5-1, Providence successfully challenged the call for offsides, keeping the score at 4-1.
 
-Jessie Pellerin (Bowmanville, Ontario) cut the deficit to 4-2 at 17:12 of the third period. Audrey Knapp (Stevens Point, Wis.) recorded her second assist of the night, and senior Reichen Kirchmair (Oakville, Ontario) added the secondary assist. Kirchmair extended her point streak to three games.
 
-Graduate student goaltender Hope Walinski (Lincoln, R.I.) made 12 saves for the Friars.

-The two-point efforts for Knapp and Pellerin marked the 14th and fifth multi-point games of their careers, respectively. It was Knapp's third multi-point game of the season and the second for Pellerin.
