SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Providence College women's golf team finished play at the Le Moyne College Lady Dolphin Invitational on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at Bellevue Country Club in Syracuse, N.Y. The Friars placed eighth with a score of 685 (+117). Sophomore
Gwendolyn Yarnall (East Aurora, N.Y.) led Providence, tying for eighth overall with a two-round total of 161 (+19). The finish marks the first top-ten individual result in Providence College women's golf history.
University at Albany won the team title with a score of 644 (+76) over two rounds. Providence carded a 342 in the opening round and a 343 in the final round.
Yarnall posted rounds of 78 and 83 for a 161 (+17). After the first round, the sophomore was tied for first place. Freshman
Myla Bisceglia (Rye, N.Y.) carded three birdies in the final round, all on the front nine, to shoot an even 35. She finished the second round with a 78, her lowest score of the year, to move up 11 spots on the leaderboard.
