GAME FLOW & NOTES
-Northeastern opened the scoring at 10:11 of the first period on an odd-man rush finished by Eloise Caron. Morgan Jackson and Allie Lalonde were credited with the assists.
-The Huskies doubled their lead less than two minutes later on a goal by Stryker Zablocki, assisted by Lily Shannon and Tuva Kandell.
-Lily Shannon extended the lead to 3-0 just 39 seconds into the second period, with Zablocki and Alessia Baechler earning the assists.
-After senior
Reichen Kirchmair (Oakville, Ontario) was called for tripping, the Huskies capitalized on the power play to make it 4-0. Kandell picked up her second assist of the afternoon.
-The two teams skated scoreless through the third period.
-Walinski's 43 saves mark a new career high and the most by a Providence goaltender since Sandra Abstreiter recorded 46 saves in 2022.
-The Friars have been shut out in back-to-back games for the first time since 2020-21.
-The Friars fall to 68-72-13 against Northeastern University. The two teams will meet again on Jan. 9 at Schneider Arena in Providence, R.I.
