GAME FLOW & NOTES

-Providence opened the scoring 1:13 into the game on a rebound finish from Kirchamir assisted by Hannah Johnson (Readfield, Maine) and Audrey Knapp (Stevens Point, Wis.). The goal was Kirchmair's 13th of the season and marked her third-consecutive game finding the back of the net.

-The Eagles tied the game 8:33 into the first period on the power-play from Keri Clougherty, who found the loose puck in the blue crease. Lauren Glaser and Julia Pellerin were awarded the helpers.

-Boston College controlled much of the play in the second period until Kirchmair scored her second goal of the game. She received a feed from Jessie Pellerin (Bowmanville, Ontario) and Lily Martinson (Allen, Texas). The goal gave Kirchmair's sixth multi-goal game of the season and 15th of her career.

-Forty-nine seconds into the third period, Knapp recorded her 11th goal of the season, which was assisted by Brooke Becker (Orchard Park, N.Y.). Johnson picked up the secondary assist.

-Kirchmair secured the hat-trick to make it 4-1 Friars with under 10 minutes left in regulation. Martinson and Pellerin both registered their second assist of the evening on the goal. It marked the first career hat-trick for Kirchmair, who leads Hockey East in goals (15).

-With six minutes remaining, the Friars went on a five-on-three penalty kill for 1:40, during which Hope Walinski (Lincoln, R.I.) made four saves to keep it 4-1.

- Walinski posted 22 saves for the Friars in the win.

-The win extended the Friars winning streak to seven games.  The last winning streak for the Friars seven or more games was Matt Kelly's inaugural season in 2018-19, when Providence eclipsed nine wins in a row.

-Kirchmair's hat-trick is the third recorded by a Friar this season. Kiara Kraft (Oct. 4, 2024) and Millie Sirum (Nov. 8, 2024) each have a hat-trick.

-With Johnson's assist on the opening goal, the Friars are 7-0-0 when Johnson records an assist.

-Providence improves to 10-3-2 at home and 10-2-2 when scoring first.

-The Friars are now 10-1-1 when leading after 40 minutes and 12-1-1 when scoring three or more goals.

- Providence improves to 5-3-0 against ranked opponents this season with the win. Since 2009-2010, when the Friars recorded seven ranked wins, they have had three or fewer ranked wins in four different seasons.
