Abdel Laadjel And Maeve O’Neill Named BIG EAST Track Athletes Of The Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I.– It was announced Wednesday, March 27 that Providence College's Abdel Laadjel (Lucan, Ireland) and Maeve O'Neill (Cork, Ireland) were named BIG EAST Track Athletes of the Week. Laddjel and O'Neill earned Track Athletes of the Week for their recent performance at the UCF Invitational on March 15-16 in Orlando, Fla.
Laadjel ran a 13:46.37 in the 5,000 meters to claim first-place. His performance ranks first in the country.
O'Neill placed first in the 800 meters with a time of 2:05.95. Her time ranks 11th in the country.
