STORRS, Conn. – The Providence College women's hockey team was edged by UConn, 2-1, in overtime on Saturday, Feb. 3 at the Toscano Family Ice Forum in Storrs, Conn. The team is 5-1-2 in the last eight games. Audrey Knapp (Stevens Point, Wis.) scored the Friars' lone goal, while Hope Walinski (Lincoln, R.I.) finished with 21 saves.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
-The teams skated through a scoreless opening period. Shots were 7-5 in favor of Providence after 20 minutes.
-At the 8:10 mark of the second period, the Huskies' Kathryn Stockdale scored, 1-0, with help from Megan Woodworth.
-With two minutes left in regulation, Audrey Knapp (Stevens Point, Wis.) tied the score to send the game into overtime. Rachel Weiss (Calgary, Alberta) and Cristina Cavaliere (Mississauga, Ontario) assisted the play.
-UConn's Ashley Allard scored the gamewinner 3:46 into overtime, making the final score 2-1.
-Hope Walinski (Lincoln, R.I.) finished the night with 21 saves.
-Providence has posted a 6-2-3 record in its last 11 Hockey East games.
