ORONO, Maine – The Providence College women's hockey team was defeated by Maine, 2-1, in overtime on Friday, Feb. 16 at the Harold Alfond Sports Arena in Orono, Maine. Audrey Knapp (Stevens Point, Wis.) scored the Friars' lone goal, while Hope Walinksi (Lincoln, R.I.) finished with 34 saves.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
-Both teams skated through first and second period scoreless. Shots were 25-20 in favor of Providence after the first two periods.
-The Friars broke the tie with a goal by Audrey Knapp (Stevens Point, Wis.) 1:29 into the third period. Brooke Becker (Orchard Park, N.Y.) was credited with the assist.
-At the 7:07 mark of the third period, Maine's Ava Stevenson tied the score to send the game into overtime.
-Maine's Mira Seregely scored the gamewinner 13 seconds into overtime with help from Adriana Van De Leest and Sam Morrison, making the final score 2-1.
-Hope Walinski (Lincoln, R.I.) finished the night with 34 saves.
-The last five games for Providence have been decided in overtime, posting a 0-2-3 record.
