BOYDS, Md.- The No.25 Providence College men's soccer team was defeated, 2-1, by No. 24 Georgetown (11-4-5) in the BIG EAST Championship match on Sunday, Nov. 17 at the Maryland SoccerPlex in Boyds, Md. Graduate student Israel Neto (Salvador, Brazil) scored his third goal in BIG EAST Championship play in the opening minutes of regulation. Graduate Lukas Burns (Cinnaminson, N.J.) recorded three saves. The Friars were making seventh appearance all-time in the BIG EAST title match.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
• Burns made a crucial line-clearing save with his cleat just eight minutes into the match.
• In the 15th minute (15:59), Pearse O'Brien (West Hartford, Conn.) send a well-placed pass to Neto who dribbled past a defender and fired outward-curling shot that found the right inside netting. It marked Neto's third goal in BIG EAST Tournament play and fourth in his last five games.
• Burns recorded three saves in the first half including two line-clearing ones.
• The Hoyas tied the score at 1-1 one minute into the second half (46:33).
• Georgetown took a 2-1 lead in the 78th minute (78:08).
