NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – The Providence College men's and women's cross country teams competed in the CCSU Mini Meet today (Oct. 25) at the Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain, Conn. Junior
Jane Buckley of Cork, Ireland, who finished fourth (9:56.68) of 81 runners, led the team to a second-place finish out of 11 squads on the 3K course. Junior
Luke Coffin (Annapolis, Md.) led the Friar men's team to a second-place finish overall out of 10 teams and 84 runners on the 5K course.
The top seven runners for the Friar men's and women's teams did not compete at the CCSU Mini Meet.
Led by Buckley, who was running her first cross country race since 2022, the women's team scored 63 points. Other Friars who scored on the women's side were sophomore
Kiera Hall of Christchurch, New Zealand (sixth, 10:00.43), senior
Claire Kelly of Cornwall on Hudson, N.Y. (12th, 10:08.82), senior
