Kimberley May and Michael Morgan Named BIG EAST Track Athletes of the Week

May earned Female Track Athlete of the Week for her recent 800 meter performance, while Morgan was named Male Track Athlete of the Week for his performance in the mile.

PROVIDENCE, R.I.–It was announced Wednesday, Jan. 17 that Providence College junior Kimberley May (Auckland, New Zealand) and junior Michael Morgan (Sligo, Ireland) were named BIG EAST Track Athletes of the Week. May earned Female Track Athlete of the Week for her recent 800 meter performance, while Morgan was named Male Track Athlete of the Week for his performance in the mile at the UMass Flagship Invitational on Jan. 14 in Boston, Mass.
 
Kimberley May finished first in the 800 meters and set a school record with a 2:04.47 time. May's time presently ranks third in the country.
 
Michael Morgan placed first in the mile with a personal record time of 4:02.41. Morgan's time now leads the BIG EAST conference in the event.
 
The Friars return to action on Saturday, Jan. 20 at the University of Rhode Island Invitational.
