Men’s Basketball Announces Schedule Times And Television Assignments

Friars will open the season on Nov. 6 versus Columbia at 7 p.m.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College men's basketball 2023-24 schedule with times and television broadcast assignments was announced today (Sept. 27).
Providence will begin the season against Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 6 at the Amica Mutual Pavilion. For the third straight year, FOX Sports will provide exclusive whip-around coverage, showing live look-ins of all BIG EAST contests with limited commercials during the BIG EAST Opening Night Tip-Off on FS1. In addition to their home opener versus Columbia, the Friars' other non-conference home games will be versus Milwaukee on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 6:00 p.m. on FS2, Wisconsin on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 6:00 p.m. in the Gavitt Games on FS1, Lehigh on Friday, Nov. 24 at 7:00 p.m. on FS2, Wagner on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 7:00 p.m. on FS1, Rhode Island on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m. on FS1, Brown on Sunday, Dec. 10 at 12:00 p.m. on CBS Sports Network, and Sacred Heart on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 1:30 p.m. on FS1.
In the team's first neutral site games of the season, the Friars will play two games in the Baha Mar Hoops Bahamas Championship scheduled for November 17-19 in Nassau, Bahamas. The Friars will face Kansas State on November 17 at 6:00 p.m. In their second game of the Championship, the Friars will play Miami or Georgia on November 19 at 12 or 2:30 p.m. All games of the tournament will be televised on CBS Sports Network.
On December 5, the Friars will travel to Norman, Oklahoma to play the Sooners in the BIG EAST/Big 12 battle. The game time and television broadcast assignment have not been announced.
The Friars will open the conference season at home against Marquette on Tuesday, December 19 at 8:30 p.m. on FS1.
