PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College women's soccer team beat Quinnipiac, 3-0, on Aug. 20 on Chapey Field at Anderson Field in Providence, R.I. The Friars open their season at 2-0 for the first time since 2020-21.

Gillian Kenney (Hanover Mass.) opened the scoring for the Friars to give them a 1-0 lead in the 10th minute.
Kayla Briggs (Ontario, Canada) earned the assist.
-Kenney scored her second goal of the game to give the Friars a 2-0 lead just 10 minutes later. Briggs earned her second assist of the game and fourth of the season.

Kyla Gallagher (Farmington, Conn.) scored the third goal of the game off a penalty kick, her second goal of the season.
Kayla Briggs drew the penalty after being taken down inside the box.

Emma Bodmer (Monroe Township, Pa.) and
Katherine McElroy (Brookline, Mass.) combined for the team's second clean sheet to begin the season.
-Kenney registered her second two-goal game, her first since a two-goal effort at Boston University on September 9, 2021.
