Reichen Kirchmair scored the Friars’ lone goal, while Mireille Kingsley finished the day with 26 saves.

BOSTON, Mass. – The Providence College women's hockey team lost to Boston University, 5-1, on Saturday, Dec. 9 at Walter Brown Arena in Boston, Mass. Reichen Kirchmair (Oakville, Ontario) scored the Friars' lone goal, while Mireille Kingsley (Sudbury, Ontario) finished the day with 26 saves.

-Boston University struck first 1:28 into the first period when Clara Yuhn scored with help from Ella Huntley and Maeve Kelly.
 
-With one minute left in the first period, Reichen Kirchmair (Oakville, Ontario) converted on a power play to tie the score. Claire Tyo (Massena, N.Y.) and Rachel Weiss (Calgary, Alberta) were each credited with an assist.
 
-Three minutes into the second period, the Terriers' Catherine Foulem scored, 2-1, with Alex Law and Christina Vote assisting the play.
 
-The Terriers extended their lead to two goals with a tally from Law at the 6:01 mark. Yuhn and Foulem assisted the goal.
 
-Boston University's Luisa Welcke scored on a power play, 4-1, at 16:11 in the third period after Mégane Quirion (Saint Eustache, Quebec) was penalized for cross checking.
 
-Madison Cardaci scored on an empty net at 19:44 to make the final score 5-1.

Mireille Kingsley (Sudbury, Ontario) finished the day with 26 saves.
