PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College women's hockey team shut out Brown University, 1-0, in the 28th annual Mayor's Cup on Saturday, November 25 at Meehan Auditorium. Audrey Knapp (Stevens Point, Wis.) scored the lone goal, while Hope Walinski (Lincoln, R.I.) recorded 21 saves.

- The teams skated through a scoreless opening period. Shots were 15-8 in favor of Providence after 20 minutes.

- The Friars broke the ice 12:35 into the second period as Audrey Knapp (Stevens Point, Wis.) finished off a rebound from Brooke Becker (Orchard Park, N.Y.). Maddy Coene (Clayton, N.Y.) also assisted the play. 

-Both teams skated through the final period scoreless. 
-Hope Walinski (Lincoln, R.I.) finished the day with 21 saves.
