PROVIDENCE, R.I.– The Providence College women's hockey team was defeated by the University of Maine, 4-3, on Friday, Oct. 20 in HOCKEY EAST action at Schneider Arena in Providence, R.I.
Audrey Knapp (Stevens Point, Wis.) led the Friars with two goals.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
-The Friars struck first when
Audrey Knapp (Stevens Point, Wis.) netted a goal 1:07 into the first period.
Ashley Clark (North Weymouth, Mass.) was credited with the assist.
-Knapp returned two minutes later with her second goal of the day to put the Friars ahead 2-0. The play marked Knapp's first multi-goal game.
-The Friars went up 3-0 at the 8:31 mark of the first period with a goal from
Rachel Weiss (Calgary, Alberta).
Brooke Becker (Orchard Park, N.Y.) assisted the goal.
-Maine's Adriana Van De Leest converted on a power play at 17:06 with help from Jamie Grinder (3-1).
-The Black Bears struck 1:17 into the second period when Alyssa Wruble scored off of assists from Sam Morrison and Mira Seregely.
-Providence carried a 3-2 lead into the third period.
-A goal from Maine's Ida Kuoppala evened the score 20 seconds into the final period with help from Rahel Enzler.
-At 2:38, Maine's Ida Kuoppala returned with the game winner to make the final score 4-3. Rahel Enzler and Alyssa Wruble assisted the goal.

Mireille Kingsley (Sudbury, Ontario) finished the night with 22 saves.
