BOSTON, Mass. – The No.13 Providence College women's hockey team tied the Boston University Terriers, 2-2, on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at the Walter Brown Arena in Boston, Mass. Sandra Abstreiter finished the night with 21 saves.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
 
-The Terriers struck first at the 7:04 mark of the first period when Julia Shaunessy scored. Christina Vote and Madison Cardaci assisted the goal.
 
-Boston University's Julia Nearis converted on a power play, 2-0, at the 10:25 mark with help from Christina Vote and Nadia Mattivi.

-With a two-skater advantage, Caroline Peterson (East Falmouth, Mass.) converted on a power play at the 6:15 mark of the second period for the Friars' first goal, 2-1. Lauren DeBlois (Lewiston, Maine) and Sara Hjalmarsson (Bankeryd, Sweden) were each credited with an assist.
 
-DeBlois netted a goal on a power play to tie the game, 2-2, at the 12:19 mark of the third period. Peterson and Brooke Becker (Orchard Park, N.Y.) assisted the goal.
 
-The score remained 2-2 at the end of regulation time to send the game into overtime.
 
-Both teams skated through overtime scoreless ending the game in a 2-2 tie.
 
-Boston University earned the extra Hockey East point for winning the shootout, 2-1.
 
-Sandra Abstreiter (Freising, Germany) finished the night with 21 saves.
