PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College women's soccer player
Meg Hughes (Rochester, Mass.) was named to the 2022 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's Players To Watch list for forwards on Aug. 16.
Hughes started in all 20 games for the Friars during the 2021 season. She led Providence in points (22), goals (nine) and was tied for second on the team in assists (four). To conclude the season, she was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team and the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Second Team. Prior to the start of the 2022 campaign, Hughes was named to the 2022 Preseason All-BIG EAST Team.
The lists are being released for the first time this season by the Division I All-America Committees to promote college soccer leading up to the official start date for the regular season later this month. The lists include United Soccer Coaches All-Americans and first or second team All-Region players from 2021, who are scheduled to return for the 2022 season.

Providence College women's soccer will open the season against Colgate University on Thursday, Aug. 18 on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium in Providence, R.I.
