Friars Team Up With The Providence Recreation Department To Host Basketball Clinic At Corliss Park

Providence College men's and women's basketball players instructed the free clinic on July 25.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – On July 25, 2022, the Providence men's and women's basketball programs teamed up with the Providence Recreation Department to host a free basketball clinic for children enrolled in the Recreation Department's Summer Program. The clinic took place at the Corliss Park Basketball Courts in Providence, R.I.
About 200 boys and girls were coached by members of the men's and women's basketball teams. Throughout the clinic, the participants were directed through a series of drills and games to teach basketball fundamentals. Men's basketball Head Coach Ed Cooley spoke to the boys and girls about the importance of staying physically fit and making smart life decisions.
