PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College sophomore
Brett Berard (East Greenwich, R.I.) and junior
Max Crozier (Calgary, Alta.) were both named as Hockey East Third Team All-Stars on Friday (March 11).
Berard currently is tied for second in scoring in Hockey East with 38 points on 18 goals and 20 assists while recording 10 multi-point efforts. He leads all Hockey East players with six game-winning goals and eight power-play goals. The six game-winners rank second among all NCAA players this season. The sophomore currently sits at a +11 rating, while his 106 shots on goal rank third overall in Hockey East this season.
An alternate captain, Crozier sits seventh among Hockey East defenseman with 22 points on seven goals and 15 assists in 31 games played and has posted seven multi-point games. The seven goals rank second among league defensemen in 2021-22. Crozier has registered 85 shots on goal and a +10 rating for the Friars this year.
Berard, Crozier and the Friars will travel to UMass on Saturday night for a Hockey East Quarterfinal matchup against the Minutemen beginning at 7 p.m.
