Lindsay Bochna scored a natural hat trick in the third period.


PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College women's hockey team shutout Union College, 7-0, on Friday, Oct. 7 at Schneider Arena. Lindsay Bochna (Toronto, Ontario) scored a natural hat trick in the third period.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
-Caroline Peterson (East Falmouth, Mass.) put the Friars on the board 9:58 into the first period (1-0). 
 
-The second period got off to a quick start, courtesy of a goal from Reichen Kirchmair (Oakville, Ontario) 1:20 into the action, assisted by Rachel Weiss (Calgary, Alberta) and Peterson.
 
-At the 11:35 mark in the second, Lily Hendrikson (Edina, Minn.) deepened the Friars' lead to 3-0, with help from Sara Hjalmarsson (Bankeryd, Sweden) and Noemi Neubauerova (Prague, Czech Republic). 
 
-Lindsay Bochna kicked off an action packed third with a goal 7:34 into the final period, making the score 4-0. Noemi Neubauerova and Sara Hjalmarsson earned the assists on the goal. 
 
-After a strong shot on goal from Hjalmarsson, Bochna tipped the puck into the net just 25-seconds later at the 7:59 mark during a power play. The Friars led 5-0. 
 
-Bochna scored a natural hat trick after getting the Friars' sixth goal at 17:59. Assisting on the goal was Neubauerova and Hjalmarsson for their third and fourth assists of the game, respectively. 
 
-Reichen Kirchmair netted the last goal of the day with assists fromWeiss and Peterson, bringing the final score to 7-0. 
 
-Sandra Abstreiter (Freising, Germany) recorded 18 saves on the day.
