PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The No. 15 women's hockey team shutout Holy Cross, 4-0, on Friday, Oct. 14 at Schneider Arena.
 
GAME FLOW & NOTES
- Both teams skated through first period scoreless. The Friars outshot the Crusaders 11-3.
 
-Second period got off to an aggressive start by the Friars with three goals scored in two minutes and 28 seconds.
 
- The first goal was scored by Brooke Becker (Orchard Park, N.Y.) at the 3:03 mark. Kayla Kutes (Kirkland, Wa.) and Hunter Barnett (Caledon, Ontario) earned the assists.
 
- Reichen Kirchmair (Oakville, Ontario) gave the Friars their second goal of the night at 4:02, assisted by Rachel Weiss (Calgary, Alberta) and Cristina Cavaliere (Mississauga, Ontario).
 
- Barnett scored her first goal of the season and Friars' third of the evening at 5:31. KC Brooks (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Mégane Quirion (Saint-Eustache,Quebec )assisted the goal.
 
- The second period ended with Friars up 3-0.
 
- Third period remained scoreless until the 19:46 mark when Lindsay Bochna (Toronto, Ontario) scored the final goal of the evening with help from Isabelle Hardy (Oakville, Ontario) and Becker.
 
- The Friars won 4-0 and outshot the Crusaders 29-11.
 
-Sandra Abstreiter (Freising, Germany) finished the night with 11 saves. Tonight's game is Abstreiter's third shutout of the season and 12th career shutout.
