Seventeen Men's Hockey Student-Athletes Named to Hockey East All-Academic Team

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College men's hockey team recorded 17 Hockey East All-Academic Team honorees as announced by the league on Friday (June 25). A record total of 187 male student-athletes earned All-Academic Team recognition after achieving at least a 3.0 grade-point average in each of the academic periods of the 2020-21 season.
 
Senior Gabe Mollot-Hill (Ottawa, Ont.) was named a Distinguished Scholar after achieving at least a 3.0 grade-point average in each semester of four varsity seasons. Graduate transfer Matt Tugnutt (Peterborough, Ont.) was one of 18 to be named as Hockey East's Top Scholar Athlete after posting a perfect 4.0 GPA during the 2020-21 season.
 
Other student-athletes named to the Hockey East All-Academic team were: Michael Callahan (Franklin, Mass.), Garrett Devine (Windsor, Colo.), Parker Ford (Wakefield, R.I.), Matt Koopman (Marblehead, Mass.), Anton Martinsson (Klippan, Sweden), John McDermott (Darien, Conn.), Cam McDonald (Eagle River, Alaska), Albin Nilsson (Ljungby, Sweden), Jason O'Neill (Odenton, Md.), Luke Perunovich (Edina, Minn.), Nick Poisson (Vancouver, B.C.), Greg Printz (Fairfax, Va.), Uula Ruikka (Oulu, Finland) Jimmy Scannell (Medfield, Mass.) and Jaxson Stauber (Plymouth, Mich.).
