No. 14 Men’s Soccer Plays to Scoreless Draw Against No. 5 Georgetown

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The No. 14 Providence College men's soccer team tied with the No. 5 Georgetown Hoyas, 0-0, on Saturday, March 6 on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium in Providence, R.I. The Friars played their second-consecutive overtime game this week.

GAME FLOW & NOTES 
-Rimi Olatunji (Brampton, Ontario) made his first save of the afternoon in the bottom center of the net. Georgetown's Zach Riviere got a shot off in the 18th minute of play.  
-In attempt to get the Friars offense going, Gevork Diarbian (Cranston, R.I.) crossed the ball to Luis Garcia (Gran Canaria, Spain) in the goal area. Garcia blasted a header to the bottom right of the goal where keeper Giannis Nikopolidis corralled the ball.  
-Going into the locker room, both teams had taken two shots with one on goal.  
-Providence had great control of the ball in the second half. Both teams took four shots that were all off target. The score was 0-0 at the end of regulation.  
-Georgetown got its best look of the game in the 95th minute. Derek Dodson beat defenders to get a wide-open shot from eight yards out. Olatunji tipped the ball out of the goal to keep the score at zero.  
-The Friars struggled in overtime gaining possession and did not get a shot off in the extra time.  
-The Hoyas held the advantage in shots, 11-6, and corner kicks, 7-4.
