PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College men's soccer team fell to the St. John's Red Storm, 2-0, on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium in Providence, R.I. The Friars moved to 3-1-1 overall on the season and 2-1-1 in BIG EAST play.

GAME FLOW & NOTES

Brendan McSorley (Randolph, N.J.) got the first good look for the Friars in the 18
th minute of play. The ball found McSorley in the box after some quick touches up the field for the Friars. His first shot was blocked which he was able to rebound and get a second look near the left goal post. Johan Aqulian recorded the team save on the second shot.

Rimi Olatunji (Brampton, Ontario) made his first diving save of the game after 30 mins of play.
-The teams were scoreless at the half. Providence held the advantage in shots, 7-3.
-St. John's took the lead in the 63
rd minute. Drew Rosen crossed the ball to Tani Oluwaseyi just outside the 6-yard box. The Johnnies captain headed the ball into the top right of the cage over Olatunji for the eventual game winning goal.
-The Red Storm found themselves another opportunity to score in the 78
th minute.
Ramzi Qawasmy (Landsdale, Pa.) made a great save in the bottom right of the net to keep St. John's lead at 1-0.
-In the final minute of play, the Johnnies' Wesley Leggett scored the insurance goal to make the score 2-0. Oluwaseyi passed the ball up to Leggett who found the back of the net with his right foot.
-The Friars held the edge in corner kicks, 6-3. Both teams took 10 shots on the afternoon.
