Luis Garcia recorded his first goal of the season.

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Providence College men's soccer team fell to the Seton Hall Pirates, 2-1, on Saturday, March 13 on Owen T. Carroll Field in South Orange, N.J. The Friars moved to 3-2-1 overall on the season and 2-2-1 in BIG EAST play. Luis Garcia (Gran Canaria, Spain) scored the lone goal for the Friars in the 28th minute.

GAME FLOW & NOTES 
-Luis Garcia (Gran Canaria, Spain) opened up the afternoon to give the Friars a 1-0 advantage in the 28thminute. Garcia found the back of the net for the first time this season. 
-Just over a minute later, Luca Dahn scored for the Pirates to make it a tie game in the 29th minute. James Boote crossed the ball off a corner kick to Dahn where he headed the ball into the net. 
-In the 42nd minute, Seton Hall took the lead 2-1. JP Marin scored the goal from the help of Johannes Pex. 
-Seton Hall held the advantage in shots at the half, 6-3. They also took five corner kicks in the first 45 minutes and the Friars took none. 
-Brendan McSorley (Randolph, N.J.) had a chance to tie it up in the 73rd minute. The freshman had a good look inside the box but the Pirates' keeper was able to make the save and hold on to the win. 
-The Friars edged the Pirates in shots, 10-8.
