Providence College's Maria Coffin Finished 99th At NCAA Cross Country Championships
Coffin crossed the line at 21:29.5.

Maria Coffin (Annapolis, Md.) placed 99
th (21:29.5) out of 253 finishers at the NCAA Cross Country Championships. The 6,000-meter race took place at the Oklahoma State University Cross Country Course in Stillwater, Oklahoma on March 15.
"I am very proud of Maria's performance today in only her second race of the season," said Providence College Head Coach
Ray Treacy. "Maria finished very strong, passing over 30 runners in the last half [of the race]. We are hoping this experience will help Maria lead her team to the NCAA Championships next fall."
In the last 3,000-meters, Coffin passed 28 runners to improve her finish within the top-100.
Coffin was one of 38 individuals who were selected to participate in the championship through an automatic qualifier and at-large selection process. The NCAA Cross Country Championship takes places each year in November but due to the Covid-19 Pandemic the Championship was postponed until March of 2021.
