PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College women's hockey team skated to a 1-1 tie against the Princeton University Tigers in the non-conference series finale on Saturday, Dec. 4 at Schneider Arena.

Both teams skated through the first 20 minutes scoreless.
Mireille Kingsley (Sudbury, Ontario) recorded 10 saves as the Tigers outshot the Friars, 10-6.
Princeton struck first with a second period goal at 10:25 by Mia Coene, sister of Providence's
Maddy Coene (Clayton, N.Y.). The Tigers carried a 1-0 lead into the second intermission.
The Friars pulled Kingsley just under the three-minute mark for the extra-man.
Caroline Peterson (East Falmouth, Mass.) found the equalizer for the Friars in the final 51 seconds of play, assisted by
Hayley Lunny (Bedford, N.Y.) and
Lauren DeBlois (Lewiston, Maine) to send the teams into overtime, 1-1.
Sara Hjalmarsson (Bankeryd, Sweden) earned a minor for tripping at the 3:03 mark of overtime. The Friars skated man-down for the remainder of extra-time but Kingsley was able to keep the Tigers off the board, tallying four saves.
Kingsley recorded 30 saves for a .968 save percentage on the night.
